For those of you that don’t know, 12 bars blues follows a simple chord pattern that repeats chord “A” 4 measures, “B” 2 measures, “A” 2 more, “C” 2, then “A” 2 more.
So it follows the phrasing AAAA, BBAA, CBAB, then repeats.
In google’s Les Paul tribute, today, you can set up a simple 12 bar blues in the key of C by doing following:
Step 1 – Click the keyboard icon
Step 2 – Create a C Major chord with the keyboard (type “CDGK”)
Step 3 – Create an F Major chord (“FHK”)
Step 4 – Create a G Major chord (“GJL”)
Step 5 – In the key of C, our pattern will be CCCC, FFCC, GFCG. Just set up that pattern.
Step 6 – Play
You are now playing 12-bar blues.
